The Andromeda is the flagship in this range of lures, designed for 130 and 80lb tackle. This shallow-cut lure is 14" in length and it's a subtle diver with a big splash, a deep wiggle and a long, long, shimmering smoke-trail.  

The Andromeda is slowly becoming one of the world's most exciting lures, catching fish everywhere and gaining the respect of many anglers, professional captains and charter operators. Inevitably it is now the first lure to go out in many spreads and there are some boats out there who simply never take it out of the pattern. It's secret is it's easy action, loud noise and ability to reach 24" or more underwater, which is when it is invariably eaten. Although a great short bait (particularly in rough water) it is more popular as either a long corner bait on those boats with a steep wake, or as a short rigger bait on those boats with less wave height behind them. Either way, it is racking up numbers wherever it goes and should be a must in any pattern when targeting blue marlin. This lure has a phenomenal hook-up ratio when used correctly and although plain to look at, it's construction and weight give it just the right balance which makes it such a superior lure compared to many others.

Over the last few years the Andromeda has continued to go from success to success, also catching whites, wahoos, spears and tunas which is quite unusual for such a large head. There is something about it that fish like. All we know is that it is extremely easy to run in all weather conditions, tracks like a bullet with a huge smoke-trail, and fish of all sizes seem to be able to eat it successfully.

The Andromeda is rapidly becoming a long-corner lure of choice for many marlin captains worldwide - the perfect complement to a loud, active short-bait.

One word of warning - this head is weighted to run upright, so a 90 degree hook-set will throw it off balance.
